ACFIC held conference on consumption platform construction

The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) held conference to explore the construction of consumption platforms in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, on August 10, 2020.
 
ACFIC’s vice chairman Fan Youshan presided over the meeting, while e-commerce companies such as Alibaba, JD, Suning, PinDuoDuo, Tencent, Meituan, ByteDance, 360 the IT company and Dmall and Huajiao live-streaming companies attended.
 
Corporate representatives shared their innovation experience on assisting the battle of poverty reduction.
 
The Zall Smart Commerce Group mainly introduced their developing plan of a live streaming industry base at the Hankoubei International Commodity Trading Center in Wuhan.
 
The JD group shared their work on industry building, employment and entrepreneurship creating, science and technology support, and financial services through industrial Internet in poverty stricken areas.
 
The Alibaba Group founded a poverty reduction foundation in December 2017, which has been exploring alleviating poverty through Internet approaches that are sustainable, participatory and referential with five modules including education, health care, female employment, ecological environment and electronic commerce.
 
The Haujiao live-streaming platform introduced their efforts to help reduce poverty on the Internet.
 
The PeopleNet introduced their design and plan on utilizing the National Youth Network Information Service platform to promote poverty alleviation through consumption.
 
Companies like Suning, Pin Duo Duo, Tencent, Meituan, Byte Dance and Dmall also shared their experience on helping alleviate poverty through e-commerce and live streaming.
 
Fan Youshan, vice chairman of the ACFIC, spoke highly of these companies’ work on helping reduce poverty.
 
He said that the approaches, platforms and experiences achieved by such companies were worth learning and should play bigger role in implementing the rural rejuvenation strategy in the future.
 
The entrepreneurs present at the meeting also reached a consensus on five issues.
 
First, they would actively take part in the ACFIC poverty reduction “52 +1” campaign especially in the rural rejuvenation through consumption actions in this decisive year of concluding the battle against poverty.
 
Second, they would found a “consumption helping social economic development alliance” under the ACFIC jointly so as to make more and coordinated efforts with respective advantages in wiping out poverty and rejuvenating villages through consumption.
 
Thirdly, they would forge an online and offline public welfare platform that combines e-commerce and live broadcasting, realize information sharing through modern information technology, explore ways to build a public consumption platform that can boost economic and social development, and form a public brand.
 
Fourthly, they made an appeal to more private enterprises, asking them to participate in this campaign on reducing poverty and rejuvenating villages through consumption with their special resources.
 
The fifth, they would include the Hankoubei live streaming industry base into their corporate development plan as a gesture to support Wuhan.
