Gao Yunlong visited UK, Spain and Poland

Invited by the UK Chinese Business Association, Spanish national business chamber and Polish national business chamber, Gao Yunlong, vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), attended the 15th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention held in London during his trip to the UK, Spain and Poland from Oct. 21 to 30, 2019.

 
The delegation introduced Chinese President Xi Jinping’s proposal for building a human society with shared future, and the achievements made by China’s private enterprises in the past 40 years since the release of the reform and opening up policy.
 
By establishing contact with the mainstream business chambers and related governmental organizations in Europe, the delegation tried to help Chinese private enterprises make reasonable and feasible marketing plans in the three countries and the European market for the Belt and Road so as for a corporation upgrading and high-quality development.
 
In his address on the 15th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention, Gao Yunlong said that the undergoing 4th industrial revolution had been intertwined with the historical social development and people’s life, and the integration trend of human society and the common wish for developing economy and for peace wouldn’t change even though economic globalization and come across with disturbances.
 
China’s proposal and practice of building the Belt and Road, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and the Silk Road Found, would provide new opportunities for other countries to develop, invest and unfold business cooperation.
 
Chinese entrepreneurs and business chambers in the world are important driving force to each country’s economic development, and are essential bridges for China to have trade cooperation with the world.
 
Gao asked the Chinese entrepreneurs to carry on the good tradition of diligence and aspiration, and to make new contribution for the friendly exchange among the people between China and the world.
 
During his visit to the UK, Gao met with Prince Andrew, Duke of York, Stanislaw Karczewski, speaker of the Polish senate, the UK International Trade Secretary Elizabeth Truss, Marek  Kłoczko, executive president of the Polish national business chamber, and the special representative for Spanish national business chambers and association.
 
They expressed acknowledgement for China’s achievement in the past 70 years, especially during the last 4 decades, and spoke highly of Chinese private enterprises’ marketization and great progress.
 
They said that China’s Belt and Road Initiative had opened a door for cooperation with their countries and Europe, and cited China’s Import Exposition as another case as China’s resolution for opening up to the world, and that they would encourage their medium and small sized enterprises particularly to strengthen exchange with China and even in a third countries.
 
Gao said that all the three countries had beautiful civilization and weighty roles in regional matters in Europe and even the world, and were important partners for China with long history of friendship.
 
China’s private economy had developed fast in the past four decades and had become important force for social economic development, and they had business investment in the three countries by getting well along with the local people.
 
The ACFIC would continue providing exchange and cooperation platforms for Chinese private enterprises and their business counterparts and related governmental organizations in the three countries so as to expand cooperation and promote high-quality development in a practical and win-win approach.
 
During the visit to the UK, Spain and Poland, the delegation held symposiums with local Chinese investment companies, and visited Geely UK electric vehicle company, China’s Tianying group in Spain, Chint’s Spanish branch, JSTI Group Spanish branch and the TCL Polish institute.
 
Gao acknowledged these company’s development in Europe and encouraged them to combine local advantages with regional market to realize high-quality development with the opportunities provided by the Belt and Road Initiative in Europe.
 
He emphasized that Chinese enterprises abroad represented not only themselves but also the image of China, and asked them to abide by the local laws and regulations and adhere to the principle of honesty and fulfilling social responsibilities by such approach like creating employment for local people so as to play a good role of “folk diplomat”.
 
The delegation also visited the Qiluwen Chamber of Commerce, Jiangsu business chamber in Spain and Polish Chinese business chamber and other Chinese associations, and encouraged them to strengthen communication with each other to ward off risks and avoid making similar mistakes.
 
Gao and the delegation also visited China’s embassies to the UK, Spain and Poland and received their support and help. He wished to keep in contact with China’s embassies so as to create better environment and condition, through joint efforts, for Chinese private enterprises to go abroad through international cooperation under such programs like the Belt and Road Initiative.
