Gao Yunlong attended 6th World Fujian Origin Entrepreneurs Conference

Gao Yunlong visits the exhibition hall of the 17th China·Straits Innovation Project Achievements Fair and exchanges with entrepreneurs.


Co-organized by the Fujian provincial committee of the Communist Party of China, Fujian provincial government, China overseas friendship association and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the 6th World Fujian Origin Entrepreneurs Conference was held in Fuzhou, capital city of South China’s Fujian Province, on June 18.

Gao Yunlong, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairman of ACFIC, and Yu Weiguo, secretary of CPC Fujian provincial committee, attended the opening ceremony and gave speeches.

Fujian provincial governor Tang Dengjie presided over the opening ceremony.

Before the ceremony, Gao had an informal discussion with some of the Fujian entrepreneurs attending the meeting.

On behalf of the ACFIC, Gao extended congratulations to the conference and hearty welcome towards the attendees from domestic and abroad.

He acknowledged that Fujian businessmen had a pioneering and patriotic spirit and had contributed substantively to local and national development.

He said that the “World Fujian Origin Entrepreneurs Conference” had become an important platform to spread the Fujian entrepreneurship, gather the strength of Fujian entrepreneurs, promote opening up and high quality development of Fujian.

In the new era, Fujian entrepreneurs have more opportunities.

Gao encouraged them to be confident with China’s economy and continue supporting the opening-up and reform strategy with their entrepreneurship by actively taking part in innovation-driven development and Belt and Road construction so as to make efforts in realizing high quality social economic development, and strengthening national sense of pride by promoting the peaceful reunification of China.

Gao spoke highly of the CPC Fujian committee and provincial government in carrying out President Xi’s remarks on Fujian development and on promoting the development of private economy by nurturing entrepreneurs and building proper relevant environment.

He hoped that Fujian could utilize its successful experiences and improve each measures in all fields with high standards and high quality, cultivating a fertile soil for the entrepreneurs by speeding up building a world-class business environment with best investment convenience, service efficiency, management and legal system.

Yu Weiguo expressed welcome to attendees on behalf of the CPC Fujian provincial committee and provincial government.

He said that promoting innovation and entrepreneurship for building a new Fujian needed strength and unity. He hoped that Fujian entrepreneurs could grasp the opportunity with the pioneering spirit to continue making solid efforts in social economic development and in international competition.

Fujian would continue carrying out the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s remarks made when he joined Fujian delegation’s discussion during the 2nd session of the 13th National People's Congress, and striving to build a good environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The conference also rewarded 95 “excellent private entrepreneurs in Fujian, released a theme song for the “World Fujian Origin Entrepreneurs Conference” and a blue book on Fujian entrepreneurs, launched “Big Data of Fujian Entrepreneurs”, and signed a series of cooperation programs on major industries.

Lin Yuqing, Xu Rongmao, Xu Jiankang and Ding Shizhong made speeches on behalf of Fujian entrepreneurs on the conference.

Before attending the ceremony, Gao Yunlong also visited the exhibition hall of the 17th China·Straits Innovation Project Achievements Fair.

Wang Yongqing, vice chairman of the ACFIC, attended relevant activities and addressed on the Fujian Entrepreneurs Development Summit.
